Hi All,

 

I am a first time Galaxy owner. (1 week)

 

My previous vehicles in chronological order are as follows:

Escort mk1, mk2, mk2 estate, Vauxhall Chavette, Cavalier, Toyota Corola GT, Volvo 240, 740, 760.

 

I must admit that with my experience with Ford, I had vowed never to own one again. My wife hated fords and even refused to drive one once.

But as the saying goes

My first car was a chevette ... silver with a yellow door! First time I drove it the headlight glass fell out lmao. Maybe we should start an "ex-chevette, Gallaxy owners club!" lmao

 

Where abouts are you based? Having an air con engineer close by would be VERY helpful to some members!

Also a belated welcome.

 

I have had 2 Chevettes in the past, one bright red (like the post office red as mentioned) and a bright blue one. I thought they were great cars at the time as the first one I had (1979) was the first car I ever had with a heated rear window and I thought things coudn't get any better than that. :)

You might have a Ford engine?? but 99% of the rest of the vehicle apart from the badges is VAG. Same vehicle as VW Sharan and Seat Alhambra all made in the same factory in Portugal. ;) :) Andy.

Hiya Disjoint ... welcome from me. I never had a Shedette .... i much preferred the Allaggro of which I had two. The first was a beautiful Primer Grey 1100 with maroon plastic interior with a square steering wheel. The second was a metallic rust colour which used more oil than petrol. Wonderful Days!!!
